A double album from the underestimated The Vines. Set for release in September on their own label. The first official single, 'Metalzone', will follow on July 14. The previous members of the band have moved on, leaving only Craig Nicholls. If you pre-order their album you'll get three album tracks.
While Future Primitive was a let down this might be the return of Craig Nicholls.
Future Primitive was not a letdown you dolts.
It kind of was. It was definitely their worst album, but this album could be up there.
I cannot wait for this new album!
I reported a leak in the site called Bloglovin in 320kbps.
Not that the report is wrong, but I would say it’s definitely a transcode of the 128kbs Soundcloud stream.
I need to give this album more time, but so far – Craig’s songwriting hasn’t particularly evolved. He’s good at what he does, but the heavier tracks have the same sound and formula as the vines has had since Winning Days. I am glad the slower songs carries a slightly different and new stroke but it’s not worth a double album.
I don’t want another Highly Evolved, it’s perfect the way it is – But I just wish the band evolved a little more.
