I’m psyched for the new album, and have multiple copies pre-ordered. As someone who wasn’t a fan of “Devil”, I have high hopes for the new album after hearing the first couple of tracks they’ve released. However, since seeing the track list posted up on iTunes today, I am already feeling a bit let down. Only one track on the new album is over 4:00 long…and by “over 4:00” I mean 4:01…seriously, Leighton? Lydia used to have such great songs that were on the longer side. I miss those. With that being said, the thing that really has me bummed about this album is the fact that THREE of the songs on the new album are under three minutes long. Such a bummer. I was happy when I heard Leighton say that there were going to be 11 tracks on the new record, but now – knowing that 3 of them are under three minutes long – I’m a little disappointed. I just keep reminding myself that “This Is Twice Now” was barely three minutes long, and it is so epic that it doesn’t seem that short. Hopefully that’s the case with the short songs on “Run Wild”.
