T.I. The Dime Trap

T.I. has gone back to his former stage name/alias TIP, and will release his tenth studio album "The Dime Trap" under the moniker. His last album "Paperwork" was a commercial and critical success, with top notch production from the likes of Pharrell Williams and DJ Mustard, as well as some of the best lyricism TIP has shown to date. Though the albums expected to receive plenty of Grammy nods at next years awards, TIP is already gearing up to release his next album. His latest EP "Da' Nic" serves as a prelude to the album, though not much is known of the album itself other than the title and that it's supposedly his return to trap music. TIP recently made headlines by walking away from Columbia Records but that isn't expected to slow the release of this album at all.

Since T.I. left Columbia Records in 2015, we've only gotten one EP from him, which was released independently. Though his EP was commercially successful, T.I. clearly had no intentions of releasing his music independently on a full-time basis. Now, T.I. has signed a brand new deal with Roc Nation, and has also become a part-owner of the streaming service Tidal. Now, T.I.'s tenth album "The Dime Trap" isn't a matter of "if", but "when".
