XOV Wild

Dark pop from Stockholm, Sweden. Discovered by Lorde & described as a smoldering fusion of Robyn, James Blake, & The Weeknd, XOV doesn't want to be shrouded in secrets.

XOV grew up in Tensta, a ghetto considered to be the most unsafe residential area in Sweden. He fell into trouble at a young age — in fact, he was nearly killed after a run-in with a Neo-Nazi gang at 13 years old. (!) He found an escape from life through music, specifically hip-hop, rapping and crafting beats — and eventually moving into singing. Up until that point, music was solely a side passion until one day, when he gave up being the CEO of one of Sweden’s largest event companies at age 23 to pursue music.

He’s evidently been making a good impression behind-the-scenes: XOV has been working at Conway Studios in LA with the almighty Swede-pop messiah Max Martin, prepping his independent debut studio album.

Swedish alternative-pop recording artist XOV has revealed his debut album “Wild“, set to be released via Everly, Polydor and Universal Music on 10 July 2015.
XOV is the protégé of Lorde and has been described as a fusion between Robyn, James Blake, & The Weeknd. Now that’s something to get excited by!
The album comes preceded by the lead single “Boys Don’t Cry” which premiered via Soundcloud on 14 October 2014 and the official music video released via Vevo on 7 November 2014 and the more recent single “Lucifer” which premiered again via SoundCloud on 14 January 2015.
XOV also did a soundtrack single “Animal” for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay which released on 17 November 2015.
“Lucifer EP” extended play also release in January 2015 via Spotify and features album tracks “Chaos“, “Blood Honey“, “Paradise” and “Lucifer (Naked Version)” alongside singles “Lucifer” and “Boys Don’t Cry“.
