The 9th full length album from the Austrian metal band.
Edenbridge largely rests on the music composition talents of the man known as Lanvall (who also handles axe duties) and the distinctive vocals of Sabine Edelsbacher. I would describe them as having a very positive, uplifting, and occasionally mysticism-infused sound that doesn't use much double-kick drumming and doesn't lean on aggression to deliver the music's punch. They are pretty heavy on melody, layered vocals (a la Blind Guardian), and a lead guitar tone that is instantly recognizable. They have also engaged an orchestra in recent works to fill out their sound. A good compare band would be Amberian Dawn, who also reach for this sort of sound. If you have a friend you want to introduce to metal (but who shies away from the heavier stuff) they are a great and accessible entry point.
They are also crowdfunding this album and I urge all comers to contribute! Edenbridge has yet to come to the US but if you're a fan of theirs we need to shower them with love and money (preferably money) to get them to come over on a tour.
