KORN will release its new album, "The Serenity Of Suffering", on October 21 via Roadrunner. The follow-up to 2013's "The Paradigm Shift" was helmed by Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz, who has previously worked with FOO FIGHTERS, DEFTONES, MASTODON and RUSH, among others. The CD features a guest appearance by SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor on the song "A Different World".
The official video for the song "Rotting In Vain", which stars actor Tommy Flanagan ("Sons Of Anarchy", "Gladiator"), can be seen below.
KORN frontman Jonathan Davis told Rolling Stone about the track: "'Rotting In Vain' was written about being in that black place, being in situations that I don't like in life — be it relationships, or feeling when you're stuck and you're just being abused or you don't like where you're at, and you just sit there and rot. It takes you years and years to figure out how to claw your way out. That's where 'Rotting In Vain' came from. I'm just sitting there, fucking dying and letting it happen for years and years and not helping myself to get out of that place. That's the vibe that inspired the song."
"The Serenity Of Suffering" marks the second KORN album since the return of guitarist Brian "Head" Welch, who said, "This is a record to me that the intensity of KORN is back, and the live energy. Raw energy is there."
KORN's co-headlining tour with ROB ZOMBIE, "Return Of The Dreads", kicked off on July 19 in Englewood, Colorado. That trek winds down on September 3 in Bristow, Virginia.
KORN will also hit the road this fall with co-headliners BREAKING BENJAMIN for the "Nocturnal Underground Tour", which will kick off on September 24 in Fargo, North Dakota and run through late October.
Patiently waiting! It’s going to be worth it!!!
Where is the leak!!! JESSSUUUUSS!
Jesus christ leak already. 3 days left
Please leak it already!
Also the Japanese version will have a Bonus Track called “Out Of You” that sums 14 songs on the album
add those changes :)
This is nonsense. Anyone heard anything?
Nothing. People have it but refuse to leak it.
I am convinced this album will leak some time this afternoon, there are like 5 reviews on it now:

I keep refreshing the site every hour to check out if it already leaked but WTF! the wait is too much.
Leak, damn you!!
This is the first actual picture I have found of the album… It has got to leak tonight or tomorrow. I want it now lol

Mods why are u taking so long to approve my replies?
Cant believe the album hasnt leaked yet… This is the longest an album has stayed under wraps.
Hopefully so!!
They’re debuting some songs on SiriusXM now
To be brutally honest, I really hate album reviews. Does anyone else here agree that the person reviewing them always tries way too hard to impress the readers with his vocabulary rather than describe the actual album? I don’t even think they know what half the words they use even mean. Hell, I have a great vocabulary and have to look up the majority of them to even understand the goddamn things!
Totally agree with you, i’m French and in France, for Metal medias is the same thing…
Yeah, I noticed one guy kept describing Korn as “avant-garde.” It was like he just learned the word and was using it as much as possible.
I read that review too and agree. Also, I dig Korn, I dig avant garde, but there is nothing in Korn that is avant garde Haha.
I read that review on The National Student lol. It was about 3 times he used the word!
I often find that it depends on the music itself. When a good critic is talking about a really complex piece of work, like Jazz or any kind of technical or Progressive Metal, they seem to be better at making sensible down to earth reviews. Those are generally lesser known sites and articles though, so I also seem to notice that the more popular the music is, the more wordy and weird the writer gets. Like they are trying to prove something to the masses about how smart they are and their worthy background, when in reality, we just want to know about the freaking album at hand.
I haven’t high hopes for this album. I’m not saying I expect it to be the best but it sounds like it’s going to be one of their top ones.
Have*
This is insane, two days left, reviews popping up and no leak. Paradigm leaked like 1-2 weeks before th release right? It will probably leak on 21st or tomorrow at this rate..
This is crazy. Less than 48 hours from release and no leak. Never seen anything like this.
Welcome to the world where albums get released these days on Fridays in order to prevent leaks from happening, and it’s working very good.
Deftones Gore leaked like 3 or 4 days before the release. I thought that was a long time. This one takes the cake.
Why does the day its released matter? Im asking because i dont know. It it harder to put the disk in a pc and rip it on a friday?
Well if you look at kingdom leaks then you will see that a bunch of albums that release the same day have already leaked…some have been leaked for days so I doubt it’s because of the Friday release but who knows
Meshuggah’s newest album didn’t leak until the second day before release either. It was a torturous wait.
Tomorrow.
The song Calling me too soon has been aired on SiriusXM Octane.
Someone recorded it and put it on the Korn subreddit. It’s low quality but that’s a start if you can’t wait any longer.
How would releasing an album on Friday make it less likely to leak early anyway?
Albums used to get released in Japan, Europe, and other parts of the world BEFORE they got released in the USA. Now, everything is on the SAME day worldwide, which is usually on Fridays. That’s why albums in the USA moved from Tuesday releases to Fridays. Looks like it’s been effective too, for the most part.
It’s out Saturday in Usa for some reason
The 21st is most definitely a Friday.
Damn, Roadrunner is keeping a tight lid on this one, frustrating!!!
He was obviously saying having a worldwide release date being friday makes it less likely to leak early. In the past other countries had seperate release datekellys making albums leak much earlier
I can’t believe this hasn’t leaked yet…
Since you can’t post links, if you search “Calling Me Too Soon” on YouTube, a radio ripped version has been uploaded – it’s slightly grainy, but it’s an amazing track.
They just played Everything Falls Apart on Octane.. Kinda slow song with heavy ending.
I saw that a YouTube link was posted about this but the user seemed to have removed it
Everything Falls Apart and Die Yet Another Night are on zippy share
Confirmed..sounds good too ? Can’t wait for the full album to release
From the songs I’ve heard this album sounds amazing, I’ve seen people post that they got the album on Instagram and I am wondering why hasn’t it leaked or are they being greedy people who don’t want or know how to put the album on the internet.
