On December 13th, 2016, exactly one year after taking a break from social media, Ed Sheeran returned by sharing a picture of a blue square. On January 1st, 2017, Sheeran uploaded a video on social media of him holding a piece of paper with the words "New Music Coming Friday" written on it. The Friday has come, and Ed released two songs, "Shape of You" and "Castle on the Hill". After the major success of "x" and it's hit "Thinking Out Loud", "÷" (pronounced Divide), will be Ed's third studio album.

Same happened with RHCP, we got it one day before. I guess labels are just too good at this, they will leak when they want…the only people who got the copies didn’t leaked it, they are reliable.
A part of their job is to try to keep the album from leaking at all. At which they failed because a lot of people got the pre-orders way too early (a week orso). They are just very lucky those people who got it early are angels apparently.
Well, if its a pre-order you usually get it before the official release of the album. Not every time, but most of the times. How do you know people already have copies?
