In the social isolation scenario of the corona virus pandemic, singer-songwriter Charlotte Aitchison, a.k.a. Charli XCX, cleared all the posts from her Instagram account, replacing it with a hole emoji in a black background. The next day, she announced she would be creating a colaborative album - with fans and producers -, with working title "How I’m Feeling Now", with release scheduled to May 15th, through Atlantic.
For the creative process, she's been doing live chats with friends, producers and fans, in order to create some of the songs and share ideas. The first official release is "Forever", a cosmic ballad with synthesizers under the influence of PC Music, made by the hands of producers BJ Burton and A. G. Cook, and a love song directed at Charli's current boyfriend, Huck Kwong. There's been a public vote for pictures to be reworked for the artwork, and, with the winning one, three versions, by Seth Bogart, Regards Coupables and Caroline Polachek were officialy released.
