Tamás Kátai's Hungarian avant-garde metal project reaches its thirteenth album with XIII: Sárga erdő ("Yellow Forest"). Unlike earlier records it has no single narrative thread, and the twelve songs touch on loss, distance, memory and disappearance. It is the first Thy Catafalque album with a live drummer instead of programmed rhythm, and it features 34 musicians and a twenty-voice male choir. The folk and classical instruments are used more sparingly than before. XIII: Sárga erdő is out November 20th via Season of Mist.
