Alex Winston born in Bloomfiel Hills, Michigan, debuted her first album "King Con" in 2012. Her songs Velvet Elvis and Sister Wife quickly gained popularity among music blogs. The album was produced by Charlie Hugall (Florence and the Machine, Ed Sheeran, Crystal Fighters), Bjorn Yttling (Lykke Li), and The Knocks. Her song Choice Notes was used in a Hyundai commercial and while she never claimed the top of the charts in the US her album did considerably well.
