As one-half of the influential duo Studio, Dan Lissvik helped establish Gothenburg, Sweden, as an unlikely outpost for tropical, Balearic dance jams. The notoriously low-profile pair called it a day in 2012, leaving in their wake only one LP and a handful of treasured singles. In the interim, Dan has released a pair of 12"s but this will mark his first full-length solo album since Studio's dissolution. Called Midnight because, as a new father, this was the only time of day he could find to record, it finds him settling in with a minimal set-up (bass guitar, mic, analog graphic EQ he found at a flea market) and letting the late-night jams unfurl.
Midnight is out June 10 via Smalltown Supersound.
