Tropical Black is the solo project of Jonathan Neumann, a California based experimental electronic based artist. This is his debut album, fresh off his debut EP "Commotion" released last March. The lead single "Swimsuit Season" will feature a Livermore-based up and coming rapper named Kapi$h. The album will be independently released late this year as Tropical Black released news that as of June 26th, the project was "far from done." Due to studio limitations, the entirety of the album will be recorded on Garageband, but that says nothing about a diminished sound on the album. Tropical Black is the second solo project from Jonathan Neumann; his first solo project, Slot Machine, broke earlier this year due to "record label, fan, and band mate problems." "Prickly Pear Cactus" will be Tropical Black's first concept album.
