After the release of her first live album and DVD, "Rainha dos Raios - Ao Vivo", a show based on her sophomore album, "Rainha dos Raios", a project of re-imagined versions of songs (plus an original one), the singer from Rio de Janeiro Alice Caymmi released a single early this year, another version, this time from a portuguese version by Banda Kitara of mexican singer-songwriter and actress Thalía song, "Loca". Now, she arrives with the notice of her third album, self titled, to be released on January 12th, 2018. Being a singer with characteristic vocals and a strong personality, who has repaginated hits by MC Marcinho and Björk without falling into the common pit of covers, the lead single from the new album, "Inocente", written by Alice herself and the nationally acclaimed artist from Minas Gerais since 1999, Ana Carolina, mix Alice's vocal arrangemets with contemporary R&B beats that seems to dilute such strong personality into a pop-song-selling market, without much tour de force and originality. The previous single seemed to be a good direction, but nothing says if the song will be included in the new album. Only time will say.
