New Jersey punk band Titus Andronicus return this March with their follow up to 2015's "The Most Lamentable Tragedy." The new album was announced on Twitter last night and includes a video for the first (and opening) track "Number One (In New York). This will be the band's fifth outing, and second release on Merge Records.
Frontman Patrick Stickles has stated that the focus of this album is more of a stripped down approach to the usual punk aesthetic. Preview track "Number One (In New York)" features Stickles in usual form, mostly over a piano. Fans of the band may recall the band experimenting with this type of approach throughout their previous albums ("To Old Friends and New" on The Monitor for example).
