Earlier this year, Irish singer-songwriter and record producer Róisín Murphy announced she would be releasing a series of four 12" singles produced by her and Maurice Fulton, made available digitally alongside vynil releases. In May, the first record dropped, featuring "All My Dreams" and b-side "Innocence", atmospheric, rhythmic and repetitive tech house/nu-disco/alternative dance/microhouse/deep house/dance-punk vibes (or any other genre there was classified on internet).
Now, we're on the verge of the second batch of songs, featuring "Plaything" and "Like", to be released this friday, June 22nd.
It's not an album (since 2016's Take Her Up To Monto, no music was released - except "Discomfort of Strangers", b-side of "Whatever" single), but it's a series of Murphy's smash-club-long tracks.
