In 2008 the National's Aaron Dessner sent Bon Iver's Justin Vernon a instrumental sketch for a song called ''Big Red Machine'' for Dark Was The Night, a compilation album benefiting Red Hot Organization. Now, in 2018, after launching PEOPLE (37d03d), a digital music platform, they will release a full length album called Big Red Machine with 10 tracks on the tracklist in partnership with Jagjaguwar. Vernon and Dessner already released four tracks this summer; ''Forest Green, ''Lyla'', ''Gratitude'' and ''Hymnostic''. The self-titled album is set to come out August 31 via the PEOPLE platform.
