Since the release of first Swedish-language single "BRON" back in 2020, Lykke Li has been silent (music-wise, that is). Today, though, the Swedish singer-songwriter has surprise-released a new single called “No Hotel”. Mostly just Lykke Li’s voice and one guitar, it's song like that doesn’t offer a singer any place to hide, and Lykke Li has no interest in hiding. Instead, she sings in plain and concrete terms about heartbreak.
“No Hotel” is the first single from a new album that we will hear and see it in full in May. "EYEYE" will be an audiovisual project about the transition of pain generated by the eternal cycle of intimacy and sound. “No Hotel” brings some relief, but, here, it is not in the form of a smile or a warm feeling, but through a song even more minimalistic and painful than “bad woman” or “last piece” from the previous album ("sod sad so sexy", 2018).
