Originally titled "Light", the album was supposed to be released in the summer of 2013, however the artist of Celestial Grounds became extremely ill and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The album was put on hold while the artist went through surgery, and is currently still in recovery. However it was announced on his twitter that the album was back in motion and had changed the title to "REBIRTH". The artist had been writing lyrics in the hospital and in recovery. He began to record new material for the album.
