Earlier this year, Australian beatmaker Flume released his self-titled debut, an album which featured many guests, including the soulful vocals of fellow countryman and electronic musician Nicholas Murphy, a.k.a. Chet Faker. This month, the two come together again for a new joint EP titled Lockjaw, due out November 26th via Future Classic.
On the EP’s first single, “Drop the Game”, the pair easily revisit the chemistry found on their collaborative Flume cut “Left Alone”, as though they’ve been making music together for years. Faker’s croon, equal parts suave and seductive, grooves comfortably within Flume’s syrupy and dazed production.
