Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y have been teasing the release of their Live In Concert project for some time now. It has since gone from being a mixtape, to a studio album, and the stoned duo have finally announced the release date for the effort.
The rappers have decided to drop the project on 4/20, a date quite fitting for their smoked out anthems. Via Google hangout, Wiz & Andretti revealed that while it took some time to get all the samples cleared, Live In Concert is finally ready for release.
“We did it in two sessions” said Wiz, indicating that while the project has seen its share of delays, it came together quite quickly.
According to Complex and Twitter:
Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa were set to release their new collaborative mixtape, Live In Concert, today to celebrate the three-year anniversary of How Fly. But as they both made clear this afternoon, we might not be hearing it just yet. According to Spitta, they had to do their “due diligence” and have all the samples cleared before they could release Live In Concert because of all the recent lawsuits.
They just confirmed in a live stream that they’ll release on April 20th and it has 7 songs.
