During the 2013 MTV VMA's, Eminem announced the release of his upcoming album, MMLPII. It will be the sequel to his 2000 album, The Marshall Mathers LP. The Marshall Mathers LP 2 will be the rapper's eighth studio album by American rapper Eminem and will be released through Aftermath Entertainment, Shady Records, and Interscope Records. Production for the album took place during 2011 to 2013, at several recording studios and was handled by various record producers, including himself, Rick Rubin, No ID and Dr. Dre.
Royce da 5'9" appeared on RapFix with his group Slaughterhouse, on August 30, 2012, and talked about what he has heard of the album in the moment. Royce told: "I'm not so sure how the world is going to respond from some of the things that I've heard from him". He also noted that the things he has heard gave him nightmares. Needles to say, this is one of the most anticipated albums of 2013.
Opinions have been split down the middle regarding the two first singles, Berserk and Survival. Listen to Survival below, which also features on the video game soundtrack for Call of Duty: Ghosts.
The track list, which can be found below, reveals the album is going to feature Skylar Grey, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar and Nate Ruess.
I decided to look into whether or not anyone had MMLP2 & I’ve read that Japan does in fact have it. Expect a leak soon, brethren.

well, the Japanese online music store タワーレコード / Tower Records Japan has posted song durations for for the album, which look legit. So, that seems kind of like proof to me.
Oh ok sick, but do they just have the digital copy on their servers cause they are a record company, or do their retail stores have it? Cause if their retail stores have it, all it takes is one employee sneaking it from the back
I think their retail stores have it. Why would they have the digital copy? If they already had a digital copy in Japan, why wouldn’t it be in the rest of the world? It’s around 8:00 AM in Japan now. Maybe when the stores open or something, somebody leaks it ;) All we can do so far, is guess…

Honestly, I can’t provide an actual, legit source other than the Japanese store having the track lists. But I have seen numerous tweets from people confirming it & saying they have sources.

#2 mmlp- crazy album
#3 recovery- come back album beautifully writen
#4 slim shady lp- great debut
#5 relapse – good just the voices I did not care for

I didn’t save the webpage but the article was stating how it has reached Japan and that it is in the process of being uploaded. The article said that it should be Monday morning sometime. That’s all it said. But the source was from the same place that had the track listing with each tracks time. So ya.

I’ve seen on FanSided that the album, supposedly, should surface within the next 48 hours from the time the article was put up, which was roughly 11 hours ago. Don’t know whether they’re legit or not.
Seems legit being that the album has already been shipped to Japan and China. I mean someone HAS to have a copy. And since the album is only a week from officially releasing away copies should be shipped to stores in the US in the next couple of days.

The verses on Survival are better, but this chorus on The Monster is light years better. Not a great song, but ironic that he’s rapping about his love/hate relationship with fame on what could be the biggest single on the whole album. Doubt anything will be as poppy as this song.
I realized that the beat is what I absolutely hate about this song. Verses are average-above average, hook isn’t bad, but the beat sucks. I also don’t like that Ohh oh oh ohhhhhh part. BUT this is without a doubt better than LTWYL. If this is the most poppy song on MMLP2, then I’m good. I think he named this album MMLP2 only to fool fans in to thinking he is back in the same mindset as #1
