wasn’t really intrigued by their last double disc and if “Hot Head” is any indication of the new disc, IMHO they have become a parody of what a Death Grips band would sound like…sorry to say :-(
If you didn’t enjoy Jenny Death, you’re insane. NOtM wasn’t great but it’s more boisterous and creative than half of music today. If you’re looking for something in the vein of what DG used to be, because you can’t let go and understand that bands need to progress and create different music to be artistically satisfied, go listen to Show Me The Body!

I thought Death Grips said they were done making music. I wish they were telling the truth. Their music (or whatever you call that noise they put out) is horrible.
There music is the equivalent to smelling a permanent marker to me. Its not good but can be addicting. Its abrasive and messy but when it works there is nothing like it. To each there own but I really like tracks like Come up and get me, Get got, No Love, Guillotine, and Culture shock. That and signing to a major label, then putting the album online for free with a picture of a cock as the cover is just fun. IMO
I get it. There are definitely some good songs that they have done. I also agree that the whole cock picture on the cover and leaking their own album as a middle finger to the label was fun as well. Zach Hill is one of the most talented drummers on the planet. I just can’t listen one of their albums the whole way through.
This is one of there best albums since No Love Deep Web. I’m loving it.
You have convinced me to give it a chance. No Love Deep Web was the album that I somewhat enjoyed. Still couldn’t listen to the album without skipping a track here and there, but there were some songs that were dope.
This is like the only album I regret listening to before the actual release date (which is weird, since it’s death grips).
I don’t really dig it that much; not a whole lot going on, but egh. I’ll give it more chances when it’s actually released-released.
But I want more ‘the i.l.y’s’!
