Grace Potter strays from the ensemble scene to release her debut solo album, following the very successful Grace Potter and the Nocturnals record, "The Lion the Beast the Beat" in 2012. Three years later and a hazy outcome in regards to the Nocturnals' future, Potter's solo act is due out this summer, and had this to say about the sound:
"'Everything about this record has been a wild, wonderful odyssey,' Potter said about Midnight. 'I explore new sounds with each album I write and this time around I learned to be patient and really allow each song boil down to it's most universal form.'"
