CRX (CEE-ARE-EX) is the solo project of guitarist Nick Valensi of The Strokes on vocals. The band also includes Ralph Alexander (The Dose), Richie James Follin (Guards), Darian Zahedi, and Jon safley (The Reflections). On August 31 they announced the release date of their debut titled "New Skin" by Columbia Records. A week later, they released their first single titled "Ways to Fake It".
In a quick game of Q/A on twitter's band, Nick said he created this band to be able to play live more, despite having said in the past that it was against the side projects of members of The Strokes.
The band has done a lot of shows in the US since August to promote the new project and your music, including some of those shows opening for singer Beck.
The album cover was produced by Boneface (the same ...Like clockwork by Queens of the Stone Age) and the artwork was done by Warren Fu constantly working with the members of The Strokes.
New Skin will be released on October 28 via Columbia Records on all digital platforms, cd and vinyl.
