Linkin Park is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California. Formed in 1996, the band rose to international fame with their debut album Hybrid Theory (2000), which was certified diamond by the RIAA in 2005 and multi-platinum in several other countries. The band has released sixth studio albums and are slated to release their seventh one later this year.
New single “Heavy” ft. Kiiara will be released on Thursday, February 16 at 7,00am PST. Live show on facebook is scheduled for 12,00pm PST.

This has to be the most commercial release by Linkin Park this far, right? It screams radio play… Fans have to be really disappointed and upset?

It screams radio play but I don’t really care. They’re my favorite band of all-times. Been listening to them for almost 6 years now. Never disappointed me once. I must point out that Chester’s vocals don’t really fit the R&B theme of “Heavy”.

Hybrid Theory was released 17 years ago. You can’t expect them to maintain that same sound. Over. And. Over. It would sound unoriginal and just plain boring, I’m glad they’re switching it up (Although I wish they would have kept The Hunting Party sound or even just have songs that were like Until It’s Gone or Final Masquerade).

They performed three new songs off the record: Talking To Myself, Invisible and One More Light. Short videos of Talking To Myself and One More Light are out there but nothing for Invisible yet. Rumor has it they performed that song along with Heavy on the James Corden show.

Linkin park is in serious trouble when bands like papa roach and nickelback have “heavier” shit than they do. Do to morbid curiosity I download anyway. I’ve always been curious about train wrecks.

Although I couldn’t agree more, unfortunately they will succeed and they know it. Simply because they attract newer fans, and will get enough newer fans to support to make up for their original fanbase. That’s the main issue I have, they said: out with the old who got us where we are, and in with the new for money and publicity.
I’m a fan. Even of some of their weaker albums. Their weakest albums are still heavier than this.They’ve pretty much sold out. I’m looking forward to new papa roach, disturbed and sevendust. Now those are bands who will never let fans down .
I actually thought Immortalized was a generic album overall. It had a couple of good songs, but I can easily say it’s my least favorite album of theirs.
I agree with you on that I felt like that one could of been better. I would take a weaker disturbed album over linkin park’s one more light. Any day of the week. The bands I mentioned earlier was only a few . I’ve got so many more . I’m not worried about linkin park. I’ll download it listen and hack to pieces or pretend it doesn’t exist.
Good Goodbye’s track length on iTunes was revealed (3 minutes and 31 seconds). The track is featuring Pusha T and Stormzy, a lyric video is in process and will be released sometime this week. Most likely to leak soon like Battle Symphony.
