Japanese-British singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama had recently performed what she labelled as the last shows of her "Dynasty" era, and wiped her Instagram ready for something new. Sharing the tagline "Rina is going to hell", there has been speculation around a new single or a new era.
On May 16th, through her social medias, Rina announced "Hold The Girl", her sophomore album, to be released on September 2nd, along with an album trailer.
Rina released her first studio album "Sawayama" in April 2020 via Dirty Hit, and featured in many Top 50 Best Albums of 2020 lists. It followed her self-released EP "Rina" in 2017.
The first single, "The Hell", will be released on May 18th, and Rina will make an wappearance on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show on May 19th.
