A definite punk background lies somewhere in the woodpile here but it quickly morphs in each song with some of the most subtle changes to something that sounds very familiar to the listener.
Church Tongue have captured pain through the use of different vocal styles in contrasting ways with open ringing strings backed by really cool drumming, seamless tempo changes and black-style guitar riffing that puts a dirge like melody at the bottom. Very Cool, entertaining and evocative. Look for a full review in the coming weeks
