Kali Uchis To Feel Alive

In an Instagram post, Colombian-American singer and songwriter Kali Uchis announced an EP for her fans while her sophomore album does not receive a release date (and definition, to be precise). "To Feel Alive" is composed of four demos she recorded in her room, having a palliative aura, since, as she stated, "can't givou you my album yet". For the cover, designed by Oh de Laval, we can see an "Isolation"-era-Uchis eating the "Por Vida"-era-Uchis' pussy, as said by Uchis herself (to be honest, this is pure gold).

Between the compact compositions, there are "Honey Baby", "Angel", “I Want War (But I Need Peace)” and the titled-one “To Feel Alive”. The EP is out this friday, April 24th.

It can be found, through a Genius search, that “Honey Baby” is an unreleased song, first teased in a music trailer for "Por Vida", that did not make the final cut. The full song was uploaded to SoundCloud in April 2015. Later, Kali confirmed in September 2016 that it was being reworked for her debut album, which did not happen.

In a (now deleted) tweet, she also said she "found some old demos that didn’t make it on my first project, gonna revocal them & release it coz they still bop to me & im finished w my Other obligations at the moment .. HAD TO SHARE COZ IM EXCITED. i jus realized it’s ab to be the anniversary of Por Vida gonna call this POR VIDA DOS, POR DIOS". This also did not happen.

It can also be found that "I Want War" was performed through the Kali + Jorja tour in Spring of 2019, as well as festival dates.
