PINK FLOYD’S DAVID GILMOUR will make his solo return this autumn with a new album and a three-night residency at the Royal Albert Hall.
The singer and guitarist reveals few details of the new record, a follow-up to 2006’s On An Island, other than its release will coincide with a short tour in September, his first live dates in nine years.
The European dates, which begin at the Pula Arena in Croatia on September 12, will culminate with a three-night stint at London’s Royal Albert Hall on September 23, 24 and 25.
While information about the new album remains scant, Gilmour’s Pink Floyd bandmate Nick Mason said last year he had been invited to drum on the album.
More on Gilmour’s fourth solo album will follow soon.
