Kendrick Lamar's sophomore album is going to be called "To Pimp A Butterfly"
"That will be taught in college courses someday" [about the meaning of the album title]"
"You take a black kid out of Compton and put him in the limelight, and you find answers about yourself you never knew you were searching for...There's some stuff in there, man. It's a roller coaste"
Wesley's Theory
For Free? (Interlude)
King Kunta

These Walls
U
Alright
For Sale? (Interlude)
Momma
Hood Politics
How Much A Dollar Cost
Complexion
The Blacker The Berry
You Ain't Gotta Lie (Momma Said)

Mortal Man
A handfull of people has the full album as of today. One of them is an editor at Section 80, a hiphop community, and he had this to say about the album:
"To Pimp A Butterfly is jazzy. It’s soulful. It’s (p-)funky. There are even elements of gospel and spoken word. It incorporates nearly every genre of black music and mashes them together flawlessly. Beats switch fairly frequently and each track bleeds into the next, making for a holistic, seamless experience. While it’s near-impossible to discern production credits, the hypnotic keys on “How Much A Dollar Cost” scream Dr. Dre (who also speaks briefly on “Wesley’s Theory”). To compare it to Kendrick’s past work, it’s more section.80 than it is good kid, m.A.A.d city, but it’s most certainly a beast of its own—and that’s a good thing."
While the US iTunes advance release was initially only including a clean version of the album, Google Play released the explicit version just moments later. Eventually the explicit album ended up on iTunes as well, and the album is now literally everywhere. The iTunes advance release was planned, as confirmed by the label to Fader.
There's even a Spotify version as well, see source.

There is so much wrong with this page.
Since there’s likely not going to be an album title announcement in the usual sense, I’m making an exception. But yes, it’s unlikely that the album is actually untitled.
reaaaaaally looking forward to that 12 minute track
I am so hyped for this. I really hope that kdot lives up to my ridiculously high expectations
can’t wait!
also, when is the album title going to be updated? we have an official one, as stated with in the updates…
GKMC was this generation Illmatic to me but I feel this one is going to be better, lil homie has so much cultural power. Can’t wait to here that!
Reading the leaked tracklist I think that awesome untitled song perfomed on the Colbert Report is “We Don’t Die” (due to the end of the song).

Yeah that are my thoughts too, that is a reason why I think it can be an official tracklist. Nothing has been confirmed yet tho
Tracklist is confirmed fake, a Rolling Stone article came out today that mentions two new songs called “u” and “Mortal Man”, neither of which is on here.
Rolling Stone also said that a song is going to be called “King Kunta”, track 15 on the rumored tracklist..
king kunta already leaked months ago
iTunes has a Preorder for $14.99 available today that gets you The Blacker the Berry instantly.
i really neeeeeeed the title of that song performed on colbert report. it’s such an awesome track – this album is gearing up to surpass good kid maad city
Bout to be fire!

someone in the world has it already! LEAK INCOMING GUYS
anyone can create 16 songs with the tracklist names lol.
the track lengths are exact the same as the ones listed on iTunes. It’s not 100% sure it’s real, but it’s quite some work to do this. I think it’s legit
The hype for this album is surreal. No matter what, it’s going to be amazing. Kendrick has a way of doing that. I mean, “I” and “Blacker the Berry” are fantastic and the lyricism behind them both is just incredible. Safe to say, every song on this album will be just as good if not better then the last
only 9 days away but it still feels like we have lightyears to go. the struggle is real
Track 15; King Kunta is streaming now.
Please delete the section about “King Kunta”, most of it is untrue and biased as hell against SectionEighty for no reason.
It’s not stated as fact, but rather “according to”. Care to give us your side of things @beachdude42 or even @lukevmg
Coldkick here, pm me on what to verify. The information I was given, was misinformed across many sources which amalgamated into the quote. Please remove it. Parts are valid, but particularly the first half, contains many errors that unintentionally discredited Koolo.
Thank you.
Lmao, that thing about me on the King Kunta section. I’m not in trouble (i hope) and I didn’t leak it directly.
Leaked. Would report but I’m not high enough level.
Now why the hell would we want the clean version? Cmon Kendrick, release the regular as it’s meant to be heard
Full explicit version is on Spotify.
this album is fucking amazing
so powerful
On soooo many levels.
solid album!
Does anyone know why the clean version rar is 171 mb and the explicit is only 154 mb?
Ok, now I see that explicit version is not m4a, not mp3.
10/10
Best rap album of 2015 so far followed by Ghostpoet’s Shedding Skin. Still waiting for Jenny Death.
Better than Jenny Death, though Jenny Death is really great.
I like how this is way more than just a rap album, this album is pure art. I do find that good kid maad city is more enjoyable to listen to but this album has way more depth. It takes more than one listen to understand and like it but after every listen it gets even better and thats really sick
Album is smooth. King Kunta and Hood Politics are bangers (at least with my friend group) and theres great continuity to it. KDOT be on that story telling ish! lol
He shows how albums can most deeply be used with his projects. It’s really amazing. I also love how the difference between the single of “i” and the album track is in itself also important. So not only is the message within the album tight, he includes further information into it. King Kendrick Lamar.
