The long awaited fifth studio album by American rock band Tool has finally been given a release date. The follow-up to 2006's 100,000 Days is scheduled to be released on August 30, 2019. The band teased the release date at their show at the BJCC in Birmingham, AL, before confirming the release date the next day via Twitter, just days after premiering new tracks "Descending" and "Invincible" at the Welcome to Rockville Festival. The album will mark the band's first new material in 13 years.
I’ll believe it when I see it
I’ll believe when I have it on my hands, and even thou I’ll still be skeptical
I think this time we can believe it !
Maynard James Keenan just confirmed the release date on Twitter. Barring any further delays, looks like the August 30th release date is official.
lol Tool fans are the fucking worst
Yes the album is coming out this summer, stop trying to convince people this is fake news.
We are not the worst, we are just skeptical after 13 frigging years.
Ugh don’t use that term. This has been a wait far longer than that dickhead has been using that obnoxious term.
The article is incorrect. Descending is not a new song. They have been playing it since 2012. When I saw them in 2016 they played it and they were playing it at all the other stops on the brief tour.
Tool has been playing a 4 minute instrumental version of Descending since October 31st, 2015 (when they debuted it at Monster Mash in Arizona). They debuted the full song with lyrics (as well as Invincible) at Welcome To Rockville in Florida on May 5th, 2019
One time The Melvins teased 2 new free songs to download. Once you opened the zip file the songs were called “Shit sandwich” and “You Just Took a Bite”… both “songs” were nothing but 10 minutes of white noise :)))))))
Jus hope it is better and a Lil heavier then the last one.
That was fast, someone already updated the album cover. But how come we haven’t seen the real thing yet?
It’s called Fear Inoculum
