Go to the add an album page. Make sure you’re logged-in when doing so.April 29, 2013 at 12:50 am #41352
Yes I’m logged in. I still can’t add. why? is there a level requirement for adding an album? or my account is bugged?April 29, 2013 at 9:13 am #41380

I just took half an hour to get all the info you are asking for. Still your template says invalid release date. So after recopying in everything over and over again, it finally accepted the info but then told me, I can’t post an album because I have under 75 points. I mean, come on! There is so much info there whay I can’t post this and that but no info that I won’t pe able to post anyway. Sorry, but that’s a mess….September 21, 2014 at 3:59 pm #177570
The form should tell people IN ADVANCE OF FILLING OUT ALL OF THAT STUPID, STUPID, WASTE OF TIME CRAP that they don’t have enough of your retarded “points” to actually post anything!! >:(September 22, 2014 at 3:16 am #177606SpencerParticipant@spencermamerLevel 2
I agree. The website shouldn’t even present a member the new album submission form if they do not meet the point requirement. I put a good thirty minutes into an album submission, compiling sources and attempting a thoughtful summary, along with trying to find the magic date format the form needed (which should be given in the field description, by the way) only to submit, have the fields wiped, and be told I don’t have have the privilege.September 22, 2014 at 10:04 pm #177683mojibKeymaster@mojibLevel S
Sorry about this, and I understand the frustration. The “album addition” should be locked out to members without the points. We’ll have to ask @PKR to have a look at this. Currently it relies on a third party script/plugin he hasn’t writtenSeptember 22, 2014 at 10:56 pm #177689
How about instead, you let anyone submit albums, and then maybe make submissions from members without the points visible only to members with the points until at least one such member has approved them?September 24, 2014 at 10:22 pm #177798LukeParticipant@mukeanythinLevel S
@benmclean I don’t think you should let anyone post, there is definitely a need for points before posting as there are bots or reallllly new members who might do something wrong. Checking it after all that would be a pain in the ass and probs won’t get done. If you want an album up post it in the forum, message an admin or a member with enough points to add (I’m always happy to help). I agree they should take down the post an album page though for people who can’t post.November 2, 2014 at 6:11 am #178787
The one I wanted to add has come and gone at this point.January 12, 2015 at 1:49 am #179988trevorParticipant@caps19Level 2
yup just reiterating what everyone else has said. wasted my time filling out everything to try and be a productive member of this awesome community just to be turned away.January 12, 2015 at 2:27 am #179990LukeParticipant@mukeanythinLevel S
Find a few videos to add to some album that are relevant and not dupes (5 points each), even better find an official stream that hasn’t already been added (20 points) it’ll only take you 15 mins max to find an old album and add enough content (not spam) to gain points to post albums.July 27, 2015 at 12:24 pm #184808Todd ThomasParticipant@cylent1Level 3
I agree with most, no “add album” link for people without enough points.July 27, 2015 at 12:37 pm #184809Roland SchneiderParticipant@desertroldLevel 1
So on the one hand this restriction is there to keep “new members who might do something wrong” from posting but on the other hand “it’ll only take you 15 mins max […] to gain [enough] points”. Get my drift? This rule is a bummer and a turn-off. If you care for a comprehensive database, get rid of it. Use captcha or something like everyone else.
