So far……? After 20 years and 8 studio records if you haven’t enjoyed anything they’ve released, what’s the point in even bothering to listen to new material from them?

I quite enjoyed Sonic Highways, both show and record. I will admit to the record not quite living up to expectation, but only in the sense that it was going to be incredibly difficult to follow-up the exceptional Wasting Light.

Sonic Highways is a great record, and gets better with every single listen. As I said in my own post, though, you can enjoy the record on it’s own just fine, but watching the show and getting the proper context for each song makes it infinitely better.
