A Day to Remember from Florida formed in 2003 and are being described as a metalcore/pop-punk/rock band. The bands current line-up include Jeremy McKinnon, Neil Westfall, Josh Woodard, Alex Shelnutt and Kevin Skaff. The band is set to release their new album "Common Courtesy" October the 8th.

An album which have seen a lot of delays. Common Courtesy was announced by the band with a countdown included. Once the countdown hit zero, first single "Violence (Enough Is Enough)" was released. This was back in December and since there's been a lot of speculation when the album actually will be released. On March 18th, Jeremy McKinnon, announced on Twitter that "Common Courtesy is officially tracked! Now, onward to mixing.". Still no official track list.

The band announced Friday night at a show in Michigan that the judge ruled that they could release their album October 8, without Victory. Here is the live video of that announcement.

They never fail to kick ass. The scenery on stage was amazing, the set list is extremely long, and the new song is FREAKING AMAZING!! They are some of the best performers around!

I really wish that they would release the studio version, but I’m not going to complain about an amazing song that they played for us live. Anyway, I’ll be seeing them live on October 11th and I’ll get to experience the whole thing myself! I’ll be sure to upload as much of the set as I can!

Does anyone think that maybe the house could be a mock up of Jeremy’s house or one of the band members’ because Common Courtesy is an origins album (I think we can safely say), so this set up could be to represent where they used to play when they first started out….
Or am I just reading into it. haha

Probably gonna suck like their last album. I dunno what happened to this band. Used to be great. Oh well. No putti g people that did like there last album though, its fine if you do. Just my opinion

Nothing happened to this band, besides the lawsuit with Victory records. The last album was an experiment. Jeremy and pretty much everyone in the studio said that they had more options on WSMFY.. so they took advantage of it and tried something new. People trash the album because it was different.

I agree… the record was perfect, probably well received by the audience (they play 8 songs out of ten off WSMFY on the house party tour)
If you read the itw before saying s**t, you’d think twice, and… I think they don’t really care about thoughts like this one…

No I don’t trash it because it was different, believe me, I listen to progressive metal, I can handle different. It’s just they stretched so far from their sound on ftwhh and even homesick somewhat. I believe in a band progressing, I would hate for them to always sound the same. But it was like they became a super pop band now who will occasionally decide to throw some metalcore in there sometimes.

You clearly like their heavier side, but you are saying that the album is probably going to suck just like WSMFY when they have just written two of their heaviest songs to date – Dead & Buried and Violence. Jeremy also said in an interview that this album is going to be mainly metalcore based. I am not saying that you trashed them, I’m saying that many other people trashed them and called them sellouts because of the last album, when that clearly isn’t true. I just thought that what you wrote was kind of contradicting; I respect your opinion regardless.

No just about everything on ftwhh was heavier than these two songs you named. I don’t believe I contradicted myself, but I can see how you got that.

As good as Dead & Buried is, it’s not close to being one of their heaviest songs

            September 16, 2013 at 12:38 am

Dead and Buried sounds pretty damn heavy to me – especially the breakdowns. Regardless, Violence is played in Drop A#. It is easily the heaviest song they’ve wrote.

Maybe instrumental wise, I’m thinking a lot more on vocals.

Heaviest songs they ever did in this order:

            1) Heartless
            2) 2nd Sucks
            3) Mr Highways Thinking About the End
            4) Violence
            5) You be Tails, I’ll be Sonic

That’s my top 5. Maybe it will change when I hear the recorded version and definitely when the album comes out

Please tell me I’m not the only who noticed how much better Jeremy got – he’s hitting highs more often than before and is definitely a lot better at running his voice. Skip to 2:37 and you’ll get what I’m saying. It’s like he’s a whole new vocalist.. O.O

I’ve been noticing that he is starting to sing further away from the mic during these acoustic sets, but I’m not sure if that has to do with him sounding better or not. Then again, any vocalist will sound better singing while they are standing still. Jeremy runs around like a mad man on stage!

Hey guys, I’m the creator of this site and I just wanted to say to you all – Thanks! I’m not a fan of ADTR, but since the album has been a around on the site for so long I’ve grown to admire you guys. I’ve followed the comments from the start, having to approve some of the more controversial comments when you guys have been let down with no news.

I made this site for you, the fans, cause I know how it feels to wait, hype, discuss, argue etc over an album. And your dedication is impressive. It’s not the most hyped album, most commented or even most visited album – But the pure dedication, even during the long extended period you weren’t given any news, is fucking amazing.

I hope you guys stick around after the album has either been leaked or released – Cause man do we need people like you.

It’s actually been kinda fun coming here and hearing news about the album. The waiting has been a lot more bearable because this site is a medium to share frustration and share news. I come here at least once a day and have been for months because without this site, I’d have probably given up waiting. Nobody does group enthusiasm like an internet community!!

So having said that- thank YOU!

It is not illegal, even though I am not a huge fan of the idea of the leaks in itself, because I love the excitement of the first listening, when you unpack your CD, but… it helps to create a small community around an only record, and this is the only place I know where I can go and look for some news about my most anticipated album of all time, so for this, THANK YOU !

Thankyou so much for creating this. Like many have said, it has created a group of dedicated fans from all over the world who love the band and cannot wait for this album. Personally, I’m from Australia, and although we dont get sick as tours such as the House Party Tour, I check this site, at least twice a day, to see if anyone has posted anything new, and I occasionally post myself.
On a soft note, I bet any money that ADTR have seen what we write and, like me, have agreed that their music, whether heavy or not, has brought everyone together, like the family of fans that they would always want to see, around the globe.
Thankyou so much for making this site, for us to check-in and talk about our favourite band. :)
